After a weekend in Moscow

The time in Moscow in almost up, we are sitting at the train station right now waiting for the train that is leaving in 6 hours. We have seen the Kremlin and some parts of Moscow. the flight from Stockholm went smooth and after some trouble finding the right bus to the metro we finally got here. The metro is by far the best way to move around the city, you shouldn't even think about renting a car they drive and park like crazy in this town. They can park in the middle of a intersection and leave there cars.

Our hotel wasn't the best you could find, it looked like a apartment complex from the early 50's . It was located quite a bit from the center of town but close to a Metro station. Almost nobody here speaks English so you have to do with body language. And it wasn't just our house that looked old but a lot of the houses here in Moscow looked like that.

So I have to say that Moscow is either the best looking or nicest city I've visited. But now we are of to Mongolia for 5 days, but before we get there we have to spend 5 days on the train.

Leaving soon

It's less than two weeks left before the plane leaves for Moscow. We haven't really planed alot but I'm writing what we have planned.

Where leaving for Moscow on September 28th.The train to Ulaan Bator leaves the following Tuesday and I think we arrive in Ulaan Bator on Sunday. After a couple of days in Ulaan Bator the train to Beijing leaves. After that the plans stops, the only thing we know is that our return flight to Sweden is booked for December 20th from Bangkok, Thailand.

The general plan is to travel thru China with a stop in Hong Kong to Vietnam and from there go over to Thailand either thru Cambodja or Laos or both. Then we'll what happends on the way.
